Clinical Supervision
It is a deep honor to supervise and mentor other counselors, and to help you develop as a clinician and a fellow human.
I believe that effective supervision is warm and respectful, supportive and challenging, guiding yet flexible, authentic and transparent. I will work to meet you where you are, find out where you want (and need) to go, and provide opportunities for accountability toward those goals.

At times I'm in a teacher role, sharing my knowledge and experience around clinical work and ethical practice. At other times, I use my counseling skills to help you explore “self of the therapist” issues, which might include countertransference (what’s coming up for you in the counseling room), burnout and self-care practices, and/or your own mental and emotional health. In other moments, I will be in more of a consultant role, wrestling with challenges together and collaborating with you as a peer.
How we work together will shift over time as you develop; at all times, I will work to make our supervision a safe, non-judgmental yet accountable place for you to work toward your own growth.
