A bit about me

Professional

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon (license #C5754) with a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for nearly 20 years as an activist, advocate and pollster for progressive causes and candidates—including abortion rights, LBGTQIA+ liberation, and Democratic/progressive majorities.

Personal

When not with clients, I'm hiking, backpacking, or road-tripping with my husband and our rescue dog Tilly Jane, playing games and pondering the beauty and challenges of this strange career with my therapist friends, reading, knitting, or watching my favorite movies over and over again for comfort.

Location of self

Since I ask my clients and supervisees to be vulnerable exploring issues around identity, it feels important to do the same: I am a white, cisgender, bisexual, married, child-free, highly-educated middle-class woman.
